MáDÉ Kuti
Made Kuti, the grandson of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti and son of Afrobeat legend Femi Kuti, is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and performer who has been making waves in the music scene with his unique sound and style. A graduate of London’s Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Music and Dance, where he studied composition, Made Kuti began his musical journey at a young age, playing bass guitar and saxophone in his father's band, The Positive Force, from the age of 8.
As a multi-instrumentalist, Made Kuti showcased his exceptional skills on his Grammy-nominated debut album For(e)ward, where he played all the instruments. In 2021, he formed his band, The Movement, and has since performed at numerous venues and festivals around the world, including the Philharmonie de Paris, Sauti Za Busara festival in Zanzibar, and African Energy Week in South Africa.
Notable collaborations include Coldplay's "Arabesque" and a memorable Glastonbury performance, PJ Morton's "Who You Are", Morgan Heritage’s “I’ll Be There” and notable Nigerian musicians Runtown, Illbliss, Laycon amongst others.
